Uploading Tracksexpand_more

What formats are supported?

WAV, FLAC, AIFF, and MP3. Lossless formats (WAV, FLAC, AIFF) are recommended. Uploaded files are transcoded to FLAC for efficient streaming without quality loss.

Is there a file size limit?

Individual files can be up to 200MB. Storage is measured in minutes of audio, not file size. Free plans get 100 minutes; paid plans get unlimited.

How do I add metadata?

After uploading, you can set title, genre, mood, BPM, key, and tags. You can edit this anytime from your track page.

Selling Beatsexpand_more

How do I sell a track?

On the upload or edit page, toggle "For Sale" and add license tiers with pricing and terms. Buyers contact you directly to purchase.

How do payments work?

Payments are handled through Stripe. When a buyer purchases a license, the transaction goes through Stripe checkout. Notestream takes a platform fee on each sale.

Can I offer exclusive licenses?

Yes. You can create multiple license tiers per track — non-exclusive leases, exclusive licenses, or any custom terms you define.

Playback Issuesexpand_more

Audio is not playing.

Make sure your browser allows audio playback and volume is not muted. Some browsers block autoplay — try clicking the play button directly. If it persists, clear your cache or try a different browser.

Audio is stuttering or buffering.

Usually caused by a slow connection. Try switching to Wi-Fi or waiting for the track to buffer. Notestream streams lossless audio, which requires more bandwidth than compressed formats.
